🌱 When a Shampoo Bar Steals Your Heart — Our Search for the Best Sustainable Hair Care

🌱 When a Shampoo Bar Steals Your Heart — Our Search for the Best Sustainable Hair Care

Something unexpected has been happening in our Sustainable Hair Care collection lately — and in the best possible way.

It all started with HappySoaps.

Their shampoo bars were our first love: joyful to use, genuinely plastic-free, and a perfect example of how simple swaps can make a big difference. They opened our eyes to just how effective and sustainable solid hair care can be — and because of that, they sparked our curiosity.

If one brand could make such an impression…
👉 what else might be out there?

So we rolled up our sleeves (and our paws) and set out to explore the wider world of solid shampoos and conditioners.

And let’s just say: the journey was definitely worth wagging about.

🧴 Our search: tougher than it looks

At first glance, the market is full of products calling themselves “eco,” “natural,” or “plastic-free.” But when we examined them through our Future First Principles, many didn’t make it past the sniff test.

Some looked promising, but…

  • contained harsh surfactants hidden behind gentle-sounding names,

  • lacked independent certifications or trustworthy transparency,

  • used packaging we couldn’t confirm as recyclable or compostable,

  • or simply didn’t disclose where their ingredients came from.

So our hunt for new heroes took time.
We sniffed, tested, compared, and asked a lot of questions — all to make sure we feature only brands that share our values and are here to stay.

Thanks to that deep dive, we discovered some fantastic brands that now stand proudly alongside HappySoaps as part of our Sustainable Hair Care collection.

🐾 What we do — so you don’t have to

Behind every product we feature, there’s teamwork — me, my tail, and the humans at Future First. We:

  • review ingredients and certifications regularly,

  • check that packaging is recyclable or compostable,

  • compare products through our Future First Principles,

  • and add or replace items only when they truly earn their spot.

That way, everything in our Sustainable Hair Care collection is not only kind to your hair — but kind to the planet, too.

✨ Fewer products, but all the right ones

If you’re searching for reliable, certified, plastic-free hair care that genuinely lives up to the word “sustainable,” take a look at our updated collection.
You’ll find fewer options — but every single one is there for a reason.

Small changes, big impact.
Always with the future in mind — and one happy wag from me. 🐾
